Specific Post Environment
You are part of the team that oversees delivery of internal communication within the organisation and report to the Head of Internal Communication Unit within the Shared Services Division of the Human & Resources Management Department (H&RM).
Responsibilities
• Deliver the internal communications plan ensuring that campaigns, briefings and internal communications initiatives are managed proactively, effectively and in a timely manner;
• Coordinate and organise staff events & activities;
• Support business functions on their internal communications and administrative needs;
• Actively support the management and development of the organisation intranet site, by uploading content online, keeping it up-to-date and drafting intranet blogs; Also work closely with the Communications team and IT Department to ensure that organisational intranet needs are met;
• Support and coordinate the production of publications, presentations, speeches, giveaways and other editorial and promotional material;
• Support H&RM in developing its internal ‘brand’ by providing support, material and creatives, including staff merchandise and internal corporate information.
Qualifications
• University degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other related field;
• At least three (3) years’ of professional experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities;
Competencies:
• Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills in English; as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from colleagues;
• Proficiency in standard computer applications, editorial and content management software;
• High organisational skills and attention to detail;
• Strong team spirit and also ability to work autonomously;
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to build partnerships at all levels.
