For one of our clients, (European Institution), we are looking for:

(Junior) Financial Reporting Officer (m/f/d), English C1:

(temp position)

 

Purpose:

The Business Planning (BP) Unit of the Strategic Planning & Analysis Division provides support to the Organisation’ Senior Management in the areas of business and operational planning, information reporting, design and monitoring of business activities, allocation of business resources and preparation of briefings for Senior Management and other stakeholders. The Business Planning Unit also acts as an internal advisor to the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive on various corporate topics and projects.

The deal allocation team within BP is in charge of the efficient and fair deployment of resources under management to equity investment opportunities. The incumbent will contribute to the implementation, monitoring and reporting capabilities of a deal allocation framework that will support the attribution of resources to investment deals.

 

Operating Network:

The incumbent reports to the Head of the Business Planning Unit, who in turn reports to the Head of the Strategic Planning and Analysis Division. The incumbent will work in close cooperation with rest of Business Planning Unit team members, other relevant internal services responsible for the deal allocation process, as well as other internal stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

At a level commensurate with the incumbent’s professional experience, you will be expected to perform activities within the following areas:

• Assist Business Planning team in the deal allocation process overall;

• Monitor the progress of equity transactions, in the context of the deal allocation process;

• Identify changes in transaction attributes, and how these should be treated from a deal allocation perspective;

• Organise the internal operational meetings, in the context of the deal allocation process;

• Coordinate with other internal teams involved to validate data quality and maturity of transactions;

• Check the quality of data used in the deal allocation process and drive their refinement;

• Identify new data points that need to be added to the systems of the organisation, particularly as regards the deal allocation process;

• Generate and/or check all the necessary documents that are required for the deal allocation process;

• Prepare and/or check the necessary agendas and meeting or committee minutes.

 

Qualifications:

• Relevant university qualification, in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar; English C1 minimum

• At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience in banking, other financial institutions, consulting, private equity firms or similar;

• Good command of IT applications and in particular Microsoft Office (including strong Excel skills);

• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be considered an asset.
