For one of our clients, a European Institution, we are looking for a:

                                                    Junior Mandate Management Officer (m/f)

Purpose: You are expected to: (i) proactively follow up on the implementation of existing client’s programmes (ii) actively contribute to the design and the development of new mandates/products/projects primarily in the area of inclusive finance and impact investing; (iii) effectively manage such initiatives once they reach the implementation phase.

Operating Network: You will report directly to the Head of Unit for Innovation & Alternative Financing Programmes within the Strategic Business Development (SBD) Division, part of the Mandate Management (MM) Department. The work will involve cooperation with relevant internal services (front, middle and back office, risk management, legal services, finance, etc.).

You will be assigned to tasks such as:
• Supporting the unit with the management and administration of the portfolio of existing mandates;
• Supporting work on the design and the development of new mandates/products/projects in the context of Invest EU;
• Conducting market assessments relating to mandates/products under development;
• Preparing and maintaining tools enabling pipeline management and mandate planning;
• Preparing presentations for various internal and external meetings, committees;
• Assisting with various initiatives being undertaken by the unit.

• University degree in Finance or Economics or similar;
• Relevant professional experience in the financial sector is required;
• Knowledge of guarantee/credit/structured finance or venture capital equity;
• Understanding of financial products or transactions, ideally acquired in a financial institution;
• Familiarity with EU financial instruments and regulations would be a plus;
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be considered an advantage.

• Proficient user of MS Excel and Power Point
• Sense of initiative, creativity and strong problem solving capacity;
• Accountability, commitment and strong sense of ownership;
• Teamwork oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ease in dealing with internal and external clients;
• Ability to work with tight deadlines, to respond swiftly to new situations and to anticipate issues;
• Willingness to learn.

What we offer:

• A temporary contract for 5 months starting in January 2020
