For one of our clients, a European Institution based in Kirchberg we are searching for an Operational Assistant (m/f):

Purpose

To support the execution of monitoring activities (including drawdowns, repayments, valuations, PPRs, relevant post signature events and reporting) for equity and loan operations originated by the ENPST Department, with a primary focus on microfinance.

Operating Network

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Head of Front Office Support Unit in close co-operation with ENPST front office divisions. The jobholder will collaborate with different EIB services, such as FI, FC, RM, TMR, and JU.

Accountabilities

• Prepare instructions for registration of distributions: identify a transaction type (return of capital, dividends) and specific features (recallable, netting);

• Quarterly updates of reporting system based on external reports: underlying projects, investors, fund’s NAV, EIB’s NAV etc.;

• Support preparation of internal reviews of equity-type products: periodical and annual valuations (reported to FC), Project Progress Reports;

• Produce both regular and ad hoc portfolio reports and compile financial and other information, according to needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Accounting or equivalent professional experience in a middle/back office function;

• At least 3 years' professional experience in a middle/back office or audit function, preferably related to equity investments;

• Knowledge of equity fund structures/products and related legal aspects would be an advantage;

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and equity valuation methods would be an asset;

• Understanding of EIB processes and procedures related to the administration, control and monitoring of equity and / or loan operations would be an advantage;

• Solid IT skills, in particular Excel and BO, and familiarity with the EIB applications (e.g. CLM, FRS, Serapis);

• Fluency in English and/or in French and a good understanding of the other language.
