On behalf of our client, a financial company, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic professional to join the Luxembourg based Finance team as




The Role

Analyse and control financial data and contribute to daily finance department tasks


Main tasks

·         General financial tasks of control of transactions and accounting bookings for the company

·         Produce periodic reports for local management

·         Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure follow up of unusual or unexplained items.

·         Provide data and documentation to external and internal auditors. Maintain regular contact with audit teams so that their requirements are clear and can be met in good time.

·         Communicate auditor requirements to finance team colleagues so that their role and any data to be provided is clear.

·         VAT monthly / quarterly submissions and reporting in Luxembourg and other countries e.g. Austria and Germany

·         Review financial procedures and update those requiring to be amended to properly document current processes.

·         Identify improvement opportunities in daily processes and actively seek to optimise time saving and efficiency possibilities through, for example, better system usage and Excel enhancements.

·         Produce daily CSSF reporting.

·         Analyze accounts receivables and preparation of aging reports for receivables and liabilities

·         Prepare data needed for the purposes of financial consolidation according to the Group procedures and calendar.

·         Cooperate with the Group Chief Accountant in the processes consolidation and group audit.

·         Contact person for issues requiring IT support e.g. queries / system upgrades /new projects etc.

·         Assist accounting colleagues with month end closing process and daily tasks.

·         Assist with periodic financial forecasts and annual budgets

·         Produce ad hoc financial analysis requested by management.


Role requirements

·         3-5 years’ experience in finance (experience financial institutions will be an additional asset)

·         Good accounting knowledge

·         VAT experience will be an additional asset

·         Well-developed Excel skills

·         Structured and organised

·         University degree

·         Able to deal with changing priorities and demands on time in the office.

·         English fluency, French useful, Polish and / or German an advantage

·         Olympic system knowledge beneficial
