For one of our clients, a European Institution, we are looking for a :

Compliance Officer (m/f)

Under the supervision of the Head of the Integrity Matters Unit, the Compliance Officer will contribute to the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of compliance and conduct issues related to the Bank’s activities, in the context of the strengthening of the Compliance function.
In particular, the Compliance Officer will be assigned to ethics and integrity files .

Operating Network
The Compliance Officer reports to the Head of the Integrity Matters Unit and interacts with colleagues both in GR&C-OCCO and other Directorates (mainly Personnel, IG, SG, JU, EIF Compliance and Compliance Liaison Officers in all Directorates).

• Advise on ethical and integrity issues, by:
• Contributing to conceptual and methodology work on policies and procedures and other regulatory texts with regard to business ethics and values;
• Participating in benchmarking studies;
• Contributing to awareness-raising initiatives and staff communications in the context of ethical competencies, values and behaviour;
• Advising on ethical and integrity issues (in particular related to conflict of interest matters, including outside professional activity and gifts) in order to guide colleagues on the ethical behaviour and standards expected in the EIB;
• Advising on the interpretation of EIB Group Staff Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Drafting notes, briefings, GR&C-OCCO opinions and recommendations
• Preparing and keeping updated Compliance policies and procedures
• Contributing to the internal reporting, including the design of KRIs / KPIs
• Inputting and updating Compliance-related information and documents in compliance dedicated areas
• In general, addressing any compliance issue at the request of the management

• University degree preferably in economics, finance, law, investigations or political science
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in areas related to GR&C-OCCO fields of competences;
• Proven drafting skills in English
• Knowledge of the EIBG’s objectives, policies, procedures, organisation and Compliance policies would be an advantage
• Knowledge of and experience in best practices and activities in the field of ethics and integrity would be an advantage
• Training in the field of research and analysis would be an advantage;
• Knowledge of standard and compliance-related computer tools and full proficiency in internet searches; knowledge of compliance-related computer tools would be an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of English. Good knowledge of French or knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
