We are currently looking, for one of our clients of the Steel industry, located in Differdange, for a:


Payroll and Accounting Assistant – FR + EN (W/M)
Permanent contract (CDI)


In short
Together with the HR & Administration team you will assist in daily payroll and accounting activities. The majority of the tasks will be related to accounting.


Payroll taks
• Execute the monthly payroll and respect deadlines
• Distribute pay slips and answer any related requests received from the employees
• Submit salary & pension declarations to public authorities monthly, quarterly and/or annually
• Keep track of reimbursements for sick leaves, trainings and others
• Fill in and answer statistic reports
• Handle management of absences
• Handle all HR files and keep them up to date
• Coordinate the registration to trainings
• Assist in the communication with the providers and the administrations


Accounting tasks
• Provide daily support on accounting issues
• Assist in the creation, send, and follow up on invoices
• Assists the Senior Accountant in preparing the monthly closings
• Assistance to the monthly V.A.T. declarations and statistics for Luxembourg
• Monthly assistance for the Intercompany-reconciliation for the Group (Holding)
• Assistance for the preparation of the year end closing
• Posts invoices in SAP for the holding company as well as at entity level
• Bank statements uploading and clearing
• Verifies the accounting entries made at local levels by other SAP users


Your profile
• Fluent in written and spoken French & English is a pre-requisite
• A University graduate - ideally in HR, business, finance, economics or accounting
• Relevant HR/accounting experience of minimum 2-3 years in Luxembourg
• Good knowledge of the Luxembourg labor law
• Basic to medium knowledge of Luxembourg accounting
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office package)
