Liquidity Risk Analyst - Financial Services

On behalf of our client, a prominent player in the European financial sector, we are seeking a talented and motivated Liquidity Risk Analyst to join their dynamic Financial & Strategic Risks team.

You will leverage your expertise in both finance and Python programming to drive process optimization, automate reporting, and ensure the robustness of our client's risk models.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Liquidity Risk Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the risk management function. Your main tasks will include:
Process Re-engineering: Play a key role in a significant process optimization initiative by redesigning workflows, enhancing the control framework, and developing comprehensive new procedures and user manuals.
System Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of automated controls within a Python-based system to guarantee data integrity, accuracy, and alignment with strategic improvement goals.
Digital Transformation: Actively support the digitalization and continuous improvement of the monthly liquidity Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reporting process, making it more efficient and insightful.
Automation & Development: Develop and automate more frequent liquidity risk calculations (e.g., weekly and daily) to provide timely insights that support Front Office decision-making and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
Your Profile: Skills & Experience
We are looking for a candidate who combines strong analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Essential Qualifications:
An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in a relevant financial environment, with a focus on financial risk management, treasury, or a related area.
Demonstrable proficiency in Python for data analysis, process automation, and financial reporting. Experience with libraries like Pandas or NumPy is highly advantageous.
Complete fluency in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in another major EU language would be a distinct asset.
