Demand Planner (M/F/D)
Role Summary
We are seeking an analytical Demand Planner to manage the forecast for the DACH region. You will drive the S&OP process, optimize inventory levels, and ensure product availability by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Your primary tools will be SAP and APO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Forecasting & Analysis
- Forecast Generation: Develop valid sales forecasts for the DACH market (regular, promotional, and seasonal business) using statistical methods and relevant data.
- Data Analysis: Analyze historical sales trends, seasonality, contracts, and customer buying patterns. Incorporate external factors such as economic indicators, marketplace events, and competitor activity to improve reliability.
- Accuracy: Continuously monitor Forecast Accuracy (MAPE), identify root causes of variances, and implement corrective actions.
- System Maintenance: Ensure data integrity within forecasting tools (SAP/APO) and marketplace analytics platforms.
2. S&OP Leadership & Collaboration
- S&OP Process: Lead monthly demand review meetings as part of the Sales & Operations Planning process.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate proactively with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to incorporate new product launches and promotional activities into the plan.
- Supply Chain Integration: Partner with Supply Planning and Procurement to ensure the demand plan aligns with supply capabilities.
- Risk Management: Identify risks and opportunities in the demand plan and recommend mitigation strategies to management.
3. Reporting & Performance Management
- KPI Ownership: You are responsible for safeguarding and reporting on:
- Forecast Accuracy (MAPE)
- Service Level / OTIF
- Inventory Turnover and Fill Rate
- E&O (Excess & Obsolete) inventory levels
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in Demand Planning or Supply Chain.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related field.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and APO is essential. Experience with PowerBI is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent German and English (required). French or Italian is a strong plus.
