For one of our clients, a major public research institute based in Luxembourg driving innovation in advanced materials, IT systems, and environmental science, we are looking for :
Procurement Officer (M/F/D)
Tasks & Responsibilities :
- Order & Purchase Management: Process purchase requests and place purchase orders with suitable suppliers while ensuring strict compliance with internal procedures and procurement rules.
- Sourcing & Supplier Identification: Identify appropriate suppliers, proactively contact them, and request quotations within the defined scope.
- Negotiation & Offer Analysis: Challenge supplier offers on price, lead time, and conditions. Analyze purchase requests, quotations, and proposed contracts to ensure quality and full conformity.
- Follow-up & Coordination: Ensure active follow-up of purchase requests and orders, including continuous coordination with suppliers and handling delivery delays or rescheduling.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Advisory Role: Act as a key contact point for employees on all procurement matters, providing guidance on purchasing procedures, policies, and best practices.
Requirements:
Hard Skills
- Procurement Expertise: Strong understanding of the end-to-end purchasing process.
- Software: Proficiency in SAP is required.
- Languages: French (C1 level / fluent) and English (B2 level / fluent).
Soft Skills
- Organization: Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Mindset: Customer-oriented mindset with a strong service approach.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external partners.
- Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
